Work from home / office or “hybrid working”

Working from home now acceptable.

Used to be the classic Friday message from sales , “Im working from home”

The legitimate request from the rest of us was met with scorn, mistrust and often a NO from those we reported too – usually an ex sales manager who found his way to the top. Maybe he knew what “working from home” meant to him and he judged us all as if it was him……

Then came the pandemic – the “dinosaurs” survived and had to practice TRUST, what a seismic shift for them.

Does that image conjure up someone you know?

Since the onset of the dreadful Pandemic, working from home is now the norm. We are all proving to be trustworthy and still get the job done

Who would have predicted such a change this time last year.

The dinosaurs, have thankfully have had to evolve.

ZOOM and TEAMS have sprung up as perfect solutions and we have all embraced so well.

OK its not the ideal scenario.

This  Observer (28.02.21) touched on the topic, “Out of Office: what the homeworking revolution means for our city centres”

So what is the best way forward?

Many commuters are using their time more effectively and helping to get the work life balance in check.

But,they don’t want to work totally from home, maybe a few times a month in the office.

So this is something this BLOG has been calling a HYBRID option, not rocket science and something the Observer raised last week

I wonder if sales people who now can only work from actually – might actually SELL from home……

What is the future for Sales – a hybrid sales person or did that exist pre pandemic…
